The islands are not doing any superfluous animations that make your device stutter but instead are silently updated in the background so that anytime there's a redraw ready it has already happened! This app is completely free. There are no ads and no pro version. You get the full experience of Material islands gratis! That does not mean that it does not take time to track down bugs or that it is always easy to find the time to draw new islands.
