Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Pikachu, and many other Pokémon have been discovered on planet Earth!
Now’s your chance to discover and capture the Pokémon all around you—so get your shoes on, step outside, and explore the world. You’ll join one of three teams and battle for the prestige and ownership of Gyms with your Pokémon at your side.

Pokémon are out there, and you need to find them. As you walk around a neighborhood, your smartphone will vibrate when there’s a Pokémon nearby. Take aim and throw a Poké Ball… You’ll have to stay alert, or it might get away!

Search far and wide for Pokémon and items
Certain Pokémon appear near their native environment—look for Water-type Pokémon by lakes and oceans. Visit PokéStops, found at interesting places like museums, art installations, historical markers, and monuments, to stock up on Poké Balls and helpful items.

Catching, hatching, evolving, and more
As you level up, you’ll be able to catch more-powerful Pokémon to complete your Pokédex. You can add to your collection by hatching Pokémon Eggs based on the distances you walk. Help your Pokémon evolve by catching many of the same kind.

Take on Gym battles and defend your Gym
As your Charmander evolves to Charmeleon and then Charizard, you can battle together to defeat a Gym and assign your Pokémon to defend it against all comers.

It’s time to get moving—your real-life adventures await!

I can’t log in and play Pokemon Go using mobile data, but am perfectly fine using WiFi. I’ve tried install reinstall the app, clearing data, reboot phones, making PTC account, making sure background data restriction turned off, and setting the VPN in access point names. But none of those can solve this issue. I am seriously tired of asking this but does anyone could help me solving the problem?

    • Curtis

Have you tried going to Settings > Apps > Google play services > Data usage. And make sure background data access is over cellular data and wifi, as well as the slider for restrict cellular data access is off. If that doesn’t work, check the same things for Google play store and Pokemon go. Good luck

      • Rendra

No luck. I’ve made sure there’s no background data restriction in all those 3 apps, and even every other app.

There is something I had like to see in the next version of pokemon go.

Could the minimum version requerment be removed.
Just keep the recomended requerment to see if someone should expect trouble.
I hope someone can tell me if my reqeust is doable.

    • brasmak

I still hope that the minimum andriod version requirement would be removed.

Everything was working fine until September 26th. 0.39.1 came out on September 24th. I think this proves the problem isn’t with the client/phone app at all. The problem is with the server software on Niantic’s end. It has nothing to do with rooting or unrooting or your cell service speed or your gmail account.
For God knows what reason, Niantic doesn’t want people with Android phones to log in if you’re not connected to a WiFi service at the moment you log in. What on earth they have against people logging in using their cell service data I don’t know. Something to prevent hacking or cheating I hear, but, seriously, to stop a thousand hackers they make the game unplayable for a million other people? I’d like to have a conversation with the idiot that made that decision.
If there’s any good news, it’s that after you log in someplace where you do have a WiFi connection, you can leave that place and still play the game with your cell service data, BUT, whenever you stop actively playing and use some other apps and/or your phone goes into sleep/screen saver mode, you likely lose the connection to the game server, and then you’re screwed. You have to get another WiFi connection to be able to log in again.

    • Rendra

This is same with me. But what strange, when I went to big city, I had no problem with log in. But when I go back to my small town, I have to connect to wifi to log in.

  • YvanStone

No longer need to search for solutions. Pokemon Go is DEAD.. God Niantic will revive..

  • Leon

Pokédex is not working, keep giving me the help messages when I click on the pokédex. Please fix.
