APK Notes:

This update is the first edition of the big backend update we have been mentioning for quite a while now.
The codebase of the application has been brought up to modern android development standards, which should bring great benefits to our app.
Some of those benefits should be visible to you in the form of several old bugs no longer occurring, as well as general performance improvements.
Other benefits include an easier to maintain codebase, which should allow for us to be able to deal with any issues quicker, and bring out updates more often.
There are however a few drawbacks as well, namely the fact that with new code come new bugs, which we have worked hard on ironing out lately, but we expect there's still a few that we probably missed.
One of these that we have missed is already known to us, which is why you can soon expect another update that will cover fix for that issue and hopefully any others discovered in the meantime, you can read more about it below in known issues.
Hence, as this is the first version of the new backend and therefore still volatile, we would like you to focus on 2 aspects of this update:

1) General app performance and stability. Does it work faster? Slower? Does the app crash or stops responding in some scenarios? If so, which ones?
2) Bug discovering (both old bugs as well as new). Do all features work like you'd expect them to?

As for visual changes, most of the app looks the same as before, as the changes are mostly under the hood.
The only visual change worth noting is the new location consent screen that replaces the old consent dialogue.

Known issues:
- Due to new consent screen, previously set clock and weather widgets will not function until consent is given on the new consent dialogue
- This issue only happens on update from old versions of weather to new - Tapping on weather widget will not open the correct city in app. There are 2 possible solutions - Either wait for the next update which will have this issue fixed, or if you want a functional weather widget right now, go to settings > apps > weather > storage > clear data. Note that if you do this you will lose all saved locations in app and you will have to set all widgets again.

Changes:
- Added full support for Android P
- Significantly imporved app stability by fixing several scenarios in which app could crash
- Few minor bug fixes
- Removed support for pre-lollipop devices
The Sony Xperia™ Weather app is a simple-to-use weather app that provides you with current weather info.

- Shows wind, humidity, high and low temperature and wind information for your current location
- Shows you the perceived temperature
- Easily set up and swipe between different locations
- Simple to use widget - Multiple weather locations - Celsius & Fahrenheit
