Ente Photos - Encrypted Backup 1.3.66

Ente Photos is built on this single belief — that your memories shouldn't be mined, analysed, or monetised by anyone. End-to-end encryption means only you decide who sees them. Over 649 million memories have been uploaded on Ente Photos, and not one of them is visible to us. Get started with 10 GB free.

Why Ente Photos?
You own your originals (no compression, no quality loss), you control who sees them (end-to-end encrypted sharing), and you can leave whenever you want (easy export, no lock-in). Powerful on-device AI finds faces and moments without sending your photos to a server. Open-source code means our promises are verifiable, not just marketing.

Features:

ONLY YOU HOLD THE KEY: Your photos and videos are encrypted on your device before they ever leave it. Automatic encrypted backup means your memories reach the cloud already secured — not even we can see them. Zero-knowledge architecture means your encrypted photo and video storage is 100% private — nobody can see them without your permission, guaranteed.

SHARE ON YOUR TERMS: Share end-to-end encrypted albums with family or friends from your gallery, and invite them to add their own photos and videos. You decide who sees what, and you can revoke access anytime.

YOUR MEMORIES, YOUR WAY: Ente curates private stories from your photo library and surfaces memories from previous years — visible only to you, shared only when you choose.

FIND ANYTHING, ON YOUR DEVICE: On-device AI photo search recognises faces, objects, and places across your entire library using natural language search. Your photos never leave your phone to make this work. Works with all formats, including HEIC and live photos — every file, exactly as captured.

YOUR STORAGE, THEIR PRIVACY: Invite up to 5 family members to any paid plan at no extra cost. Everyone shares the cloud storage — nobody shares the photos. Each person gets their own private, encrypted gallery.

YOUR PHOTOS, ON EVERY DEVICE: Access your private photo storage on iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux, and the web.

THREE COPIES, ZERO COMPROMISES: Ente stores your encrypted cloud backup in 3 secure locations — including an underground facility. Automatic photo and video backup that survives anything.

MOVE IN — OR OUT — FREELY: Import your photo library from Google Photos or other providers using our desktop app. And if you ever want to leave, export everything at full original quality. No lock-in, ever.

EVERY PIXEL, EXACTLY AS YOU SHOT IT: All photos and videos are backed up in original quality — no compression, no resizing, no stripped metadata.

YOUR APP, YOUR LOCK: Set a PIN or use biometrics to ensure no one else can access your photo library.

A VAULT FOR WHAT'S MOST PRIVATE: Move sensitive photos and videos to a hidden folder that is password protected by default — invisible to everyone but you.

COLLECT WITHOUT LIMITS: Share a link and let anyone upload directly to your album — no Ente account needed.

ALWAYS IN SYNC WITH YOUR PARTNER: Automatically share your camera roll with a partner so they see your photos the moment you take them. Private sharing, end-to-end encrypted.

VERIFY EVERYTHING YOURSELF: Ente Photos is fully open-source and has been independently audited by third-party security experts. You don't have to trust our word — you can read the code.

LOCKED DOWN, YOUR WAY: Two-factor authentication, app lock, hidden vault — layer your private cloud storage security exactly as much as you want.

SELF-HOST OR LET US: Power users can run their own Ente server. Everyone else gets fully managed encrypted cloud storage — same privacy, zero maintenance.

HUMAN SUPPORT: Reach us at support@ente.io and a human being will respond. Not a bot, not a template — just a regular member of our team!

Whether you're leaving Google Photos, replacing iCloud, or just done with photo apps that treat your memories as data — Ente is the private photo storage and organiser built for people, not algorithms. Get started with 10 GB free.
