For Android 9. Q Developer Preview issues are not fixed.
With GCam 6.3 on the horizon, I will go ahead and send out v12.3 with a minor change. I added "Default Launch Mode" selection of Camera (default), Portrait, or Night Sight. So now if you click the desktop shortcut it will launch into the mode you've selected. Also if double click your power button and if Camera P3 is your default camera app, it will launch straight into the selected mode.
