App Notes:

To figure out the right version of Google Play services for your Android device, download Play Services info or go to Settings -> Apps -> Google Play services, and look at the 3-digit sequence (let's use XYZ) in the parentheses:

* X defines Android version:

  • 0 for Android <5.0
  • 2 for Android 5.0 and 5.1 starting with Play Services v8
  • 4 for Android 5.0 and 5.1 before Play Services v8, Android >= 6.0 after
  • 5 for Android Wear
  • 7 for Android 5.0
  • 8 for Android TV

* Y defines CPU architecture:

  • 1 for armeabi
  • 3 for armeabi-v7a
  • 4 for arm64-v8a
  • 5 for mips
  • 7 for x86
  • 8 for x86_64

* Z defines DPI:

  • 0 for universal
  • 2 for 160
  • 4 for 240
  • 6 for 320
  • 8 for 480

Notes:

  • It seems that 7YZ builds became 4YZ with Google Play services v6.5. If you were on 7YZ before, you should now install 4YZ.
  • It seems that 4YZ builds got split into 2YZ for Lollipop and 4YZ for Marshmallow with Google Play services v8. If you were on 4YZ before, you should now install 2YZ in Lollipop and 4YZ in Marshmallow.
  • Examples:

    • 014 for Android <5.0 armeabi CPU 240 DPI device
    • 438 for Android 6.0+ armeabi-v7a CPU 480 DPI device
    • 876 for Android TV x86 CPU 320 DPI device

    Changelog: more battery drain and wakelock

    • Hell

      wrong that was in the previous version, this version has even mooooore battery drain

    • Tommy

      How do u guys put up with this crazy battery drain and free disk space drain from Google?? Ridiculous

  • Aiden Pearce

    448…will take forever it seems..
    Google does nothing to slim this app…only adds version upon version without any serious look on Battery Drain….

    • neo905

      I just find it odd that my 6P was 448 this entire time until I installed 7.1.1 and now it is 440.

  • mmark27

    My WiFi toggle doesn’t work well after updating to the 10.0.84 Google Play Services. Very weird, takes like 3-4 hits, says WiFi unstable and turns it back off. All other settings are correct. Strange. Anyone else?

    • ACIK

      Pls enable Force high graphics in developer options

      • mmark27

        This is a fix? Explain please. Also, don’t see any option in Dev for this.

        • Stéphane

          No option for me too… Thanks anyway.

    • Dudash

      Having the same problem on my Galaxy S5 running stock TW MM. Thought it was just my ROM or an Xposed Module but I guess not.

    • Stéphane

      same here… S6 edge+ stock, wifi is draining ALL my battery in 4 hours (when wifi is switched off) ! Never happened to me in my whole life. The wifi toggle flashes constantly ON/OFF and drains the battery… Reinstalled previous version of play servcies but… automatic updates 5 days later had the issue happen again… and once and for all… Any clue ? Should I wipe and factory resore everything ? Thanks !

    • Adam P

      Turn off “WiFi scanning” in the “Improve accuracy” section in Location settings. It’s the background WiFi scanning that’s broken in this version. Typical Google. Running stock Android 6.0 on T-Mobile Galaxy S6 edge

      • mmark27

        This is the fix. Thank you very much!

  • Tatsumak

    No 438 :(

    • It is available now. But couldn’t you just install 430?

      • Tatsumak

        Could I? I didn’t know that, I thought that I had to follow strictly the number. Thanks.

        • I’m not sure, but it says that xx0 means universal dpi, so I think it could also work. Let me know if you find out. :P

    • the last one. finally!

  • MoeT

    Where do I get the 240 version. :(

  • JUMP23MΔN

    Anyone know which version I should download for Nexus 6 7.0?

    • Portgas D. Ace

      Can’t tell you the version but I can tell you how to check. Go into the installed Apps list and tap on Google Play Services. It will give you a version number. For example 10.0.84 (236-137749526)
      The first 3 Numbers in the () are the version you need (in my example 236).

      • JUMP23MΔN

        Good look & thanks!

    nyone know which version I should download for galaxy j5 6.0

  • Lenka Malot

    Hello,
    This is my first use on this website, after my gmail failed onn Xiaomi Redmi 3 because google play services were not latest release. So I realised google now forces me to update these services that I am not sure I need. Using the navigator on my smartphone resulted in a page with tons of advertiisement all displaying “download” fin font size 40 whilst “advertisement” was in font 4, light grey, nearly invisible on a 5.5 inch display. The right download button to use is “DOWNLOAD APK” only. I hate such advertisements faking the website. Then I had in fact to download the apk from a PC and transfered via USB cable on my phone to install on my phone using the navigator.
