Bug Fixes:
- Fixed an issue where device settings were not restored after reconnection
- Charge limit and scheduler settings now persist correctly when your Chargie device reconnects. This update resolves a bug where custom charge limit settings would reset to the default value (85%) after the device disconnected and reconnected. Your personalized charging preferences will now be properly remembered. A big thanks to everyone who noticed this bug and reported it to lab@chargie.org.

Chargie takes control of the power flow following an algorithm that decreases battery temperature and voltage related stress, throughout the 8 hours of nighttime charging.

Location Data and Bluetooth Permissions

On Android devices running older versions, location permissions are necessary for scanning for Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices (the FINE_LOCATION and COARSE_LOCATION permissions). This is a requirement by the Android operating system, not a specific choice by our application. Android only accesses your location data only when you are actively using the app to search for BLE devices. We do not store or share this information with third parties. This process is critical for identifying nearby BLE devices that you may wish to connect to for optimizing your device’s charging process.
