SuperBetter uses the psychology of game play to overcome obstacles in all of life. By following 7 gameful rules, SuperBetter players bring a challenge mindset to everyday life – they adopt a secret identity, activate power-ups, battle bad guys, complete quests, and check-in with allies as they go for their epic wins. Players develop new skills, track their gameful strengths, and build their whole-person resilience - mental, social, emotional & physical.

Invented by researcher and game designer Jane McGonigal, the SuperBetter methodology is evidence-based and backed by science. In a randomized controlled trial at the University of Pennsylvania, playing SuperBetter for 30 days was associated with significant improvements in mental health and resilience. Over 1 million people have played SuperBetter.

Squad Play is designed for educators and available to anyone:

The web-based host portal makes it easy to create squads and host challenges for them. Squad challenges bring the SuperBetter methodology to life. Each has an epic win and 5-days of activities. Hosts select from a library of over 90 challenges that promote mental, emotional, social & physical resilience, or create custom challenges to have squads go for any epic win they choose. Squad members play about 10 minutes a day on the SuperBetter mobile or web app. They use a free Player account or a low-cost Hero account. Learn more on the SuperBetter website.

PLAYER ACCOUNT: PLAY WITH SQUADS

The Player account is a companion to the Host account. It is a free account to play in Squad Play mode only.

Players can join squad challenges when invited by someone with a Host account, and play a weekly squad challenge hosted by SuperBetter.

DESIGNED FOR SMARTPHONES

The SuperBetter mobile app is designed for smartphones. If you have a Chromebook, iPad or tablet device, you can play on the web app.

SUBSCRIPTION PRICING AND TERMS

The price for a Hero account is $24.99 per year (that’s less than $2.10/month).

Payment will be charged to your credit card. Subscriptions automatically renew unless the plan is canceled before the end of the current subscription period. You may manage your subscription in your Account Settings after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
