Wow, it’s been years since I didn’t see a Visualizer app, nice one!

    • Well it’s actually the ol’ good Visualizer since previous versions of Android.
They stopped updating it but Sony Music app still looks for it and adds it to the menu if it’s installed, and it works on my Xperia Z1 perfecly.
Couldn’t get the visualizer to work on a Xiaomi device on Marshmallow though, I get a “Cannot play song” error.

I see. I got Music app working on AOSP and MIUI just by removing the required library in the Manifest… But it’d be awesome to see the old visualizer working too.

Were you able to log that? Maybe it screams a bit in the logcat although the app manages not to crash :P

        • Haven’t seen any error signs in the logcat :/ I’ll take an in-depth look in the smali to see what triggers the “Cannot play song” toast notification.

My guess is that it’s a missing library, but oh well, who knows. I’d also love to have a look whenever I find some spare time hehe

          • Nah, not a missing library.
I bet it has something to do with the missing framework. Older firmware had 2 separate frameworks. Newer firmware have only one. I think the missing “com.sonyericsson.uxp” namespace is the culprit.

Hello! I have a little doubt about this app. I decompiled a Z3+ firmware with one of your tools, I have a XZ premium and is odexed. I extracted all the files and libraries needed to get the app work but when I play a song, it doesn’t display any effects. I thought that putting the library libUX on the lib files was enough but I got lost. Can you help me?

On my Z5 Compact (Android 7.0) it has been installed perfectly, but when I try to play a mistaken song. Then I tried to give the permissions in the settings, I activated that to control the music, but then when I get back the authorization I turned on, I turned off myself … someone knows how ever? : ‘( https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/815eda13cdaaf688602a6548e57c267e295ca244ae48505aaa95adf84a9cc0fa.png

Thanks, but how does this file work? Where do I need to enter it? :)
