The COVIDaware MN exposure notification system helps slow the spread of COVID-19. With this system, your phone gets notified when you may have been exposed to COVID-19. Exposure notification uses privacy-preserving technology developed by Apple and Google. It exchanges anonymous Bluetooth keys with other phones when they are within 6 feet of each other for more than 15 minutes. If another user reports a positive COVID-19 test, the phones they exchanged keys with are anonymously notified. This lets Minnesotans know when they should take extra care and get tested. Nobody ever knows your location or identity, and no information on the use of exposure notification can be traced back to you. Full details at
