A question: i’m on kitkat, so i can’t test. With the “any DocumentsProvider support” it’s possible to select a provider by external apps? I imagine the interface similar to that which occur when selecting a generic file from an app, so, for example i could use as provider ES File Explorer to acces my local FTP server. it is possible?

Changing the backup directory to point to an external SDcard doesn’t work on the nVidia Shield tablet which is one of the few devices with external sdcard support. If they are going to call out this feature .. should it not work? Or is this a Samsung only feature? meh

maybe you are on kitkat. Google have made changes in kitkat that wont allow applications to work outside internal storage

Hmmm. Used it with my sdcard on my thunderbolt, s4, Acer a200, and my wife’s old droid 4. Use it with an otg with my 2012 N7 and my N6. Going to have to check it out I guess to see how using an sdcard is new.
