ChaoMe Theme Editor 3.0.1

Make your phone's theme your own. ChaoMe Theme Editor opens a theme you already have, or a .mtz file you downloaded, lets you change what you want, and builds a new .mtz theme for MIUI and HyperOS phones. No PC needed.

WHAT YOU CAN EDIT

• Wallpaper, lock screen and always-on display: your own pictures, the lock screen's options, or a new lock screen of your own with clock, depth layers and a dark-mode version
• App icons: from installed icon packs, a zip or folder of images, or single pictures; icon masks, batch effects, two-layer Monet-style icons and dynamic icons
• Launcher colours and art, and clock widgets
• Status bar, notification shade, Control Center, volume panel and navigation bar: colours, sizes and icons, including your own signal and Wi-Fi icons
• Theme palette and system colours, or a palette taken from your wallpaper
• Fingerprint icon and unlock animation
• Fonts: a custom .ttf system font, multi-weight fonts, or a font-only theme
• Ringtones, notification and system sounds, and a boot animation (where your system version lets a theme change it)
• Contacts, dialer, Messaging and call screen backgrounds
• Power menu, recents and app backgrounds; hide system UI elements
• Theme details: title, author, designer, description and the theme's texts in other languages
• Presets, undo and redo, before/after views, and store preview images made from your edits

TOOLS

• Theme library on your phone: keep, search, compare and share your themes, and open .mtz files from other apps
• Starter templates (light and dark) to begin a new theme
• Theme checker: finds problems against the official theme rules before you export
• Import your own theme backups (.bak); bought or licensed themes are refused
• Advanced editors: theme files, XML editor, theme keys, resource catalogue and nine-patch editor
• MAML code editor with a live preview

HOW A THEME REACHES YOUR PHONE

1. Open a theme or a starter template and edit the parts you want.
2. Export: the app saves a standard .mtz file in a folder you choose. You can also share it.
3. Install: since Android 11 no normal app may write into the Themes app's folder. The app can install through an optional install helper and guides you through its one-time setup. It is optional; editing and exporting work without it.
4. Apply it in the Themes app.

Please note: the phone may go back to its previous theme after a while. Your edits stay in the .mtz file and you can apply it again. The app tells you this when you install.

FREE AND PRO

• Free with ads. The free version needs an internet connection.
• PRO is a one-time purchase. It removes all ads, works offline, and opens the advanced tools: the advanced editors, lock screen options, the new lock screen builder, always-on display and power menu, MAML code, and combining themes or converting them for another system version. Every other editor stays free.

Note: ChaoMe Theme Editor is an independent tool for creating theme files. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Xiaomi. MIUI and HyperOS are trademarks of Xiaomi Inc., used here only to describe the phones the app works with.
